Springweather Nature Area - Perkinsville

Take exit 7 off I-91. Travel through Springfield to N. Springfield. Turn right, across the street from the Mobil gas station. Travel over the dam and turn left on Reservoir Road. Access road and parking for Springweather is .5 mile on the left. The trails wind through the woods covering a variety of terrain from begginer to advanced. Wild life is abound and parking is ample and safe.

1. The Nature Trail - Beautiful scenery of the Springfield dam area and it's endangered wildlife. Camping areas along the trail, with benches at selected lookouts. Some steep hills but there are bypasses for all. Although there is only about 3 miles of trails, it is a beautiful ride, with many trail options.
   ***!!!Watch out for the wild turkey! It is also not uncommon to see a lone kayaker out in the dam's swampy areas at dusk.
