Clemmer Trail - Ocoee, Tennessee 37361
From I-75, exit 20, to APD 40 to hwy 64 East. Go approx. 20 miles into the Cherokee National Forest along Parksville Lake, past Mac Point Recreation Area to the 2nd pull off ; past Mac Point on the right. Go across the road and begin a 3 mile intense uphill climbing and then 3 more miles of average climbing. This trail will lead you thru mtn. laurel coves,across creeks and river rocks. At the top of the mountain there will be Benton Falls, Chilhowee Lake and a Recreation area. Campsites and 6 more mountain bike trails are accessable. You will pass a Forestry Service Bldg on Hwy 64 across from Parksville Lake. You can pick up a detail Map of all the Trails and Lengths. Oh, you can start at the top of Chilhowee Lake and ride the 6 miles downhill on Clemmer and enjoy a whirlwind ride of winding and twisting trail. Look out for Bears and Wild Boars. This trail is riden by many experienced racers. This area is one of the best mountain bike trail areas in East Tennessee. Lots of camping on creeks and on the incrediable Ocoee River; highlighted in the 1996 Slalom and Kayak Olympics. You'll never regret this trip....
