The Sierra Madre Trail head is located approximately 2.0 miles from the Mount Wilson Toll road along the Winter Creek Trail. This trail is best done starting from Altadena and ending in Sierra Madre. The City ride back to your vehicle is easy.
210 freeway exit Altadena Dr. and head towards the mountains. Turn right on Crescent Dr. & turn right on Pinecrest to the Mount Wilson fire road trail head marked by two locked gates and an access gate. ***Please observe the enforced parking restrictions *** While you are observing, kindly be courteous to my neighbors and avoid blaring your radios loudly and changing in public.
