This trail is best accessed from the top on Main Divide road(which runs the atop the spine of the Santa Ana's), between Modjeska peak and Santiago peak. That section of Main divide may be reached by Harding truck trail(o.c. side), Indian truck trail(riverside co. side), or several other roads a little further away.This is an advanced trail. Be prepared for rocky terrain, loose conditions, heavy overgrowth, poison oak, and no help for miles. Bring plenty of water and a riding partner, this trail is extremely challenging. The trail leads you down to a place called Old Camp, where you then do a short climb to Santigo truck trail to continue your ride. I would not recommend climbing Joplin, although technically it is possible.
