Robert E. Lee Park - Baltimore
From I83 N or S, take Cold Spring Ln. E. Turn Left at Falls Rd. Just after Lake Ave. (light/intersection), turn right into park entrance, look for sign. Drive back a ways, park on the road, ride into main section of the park, ride around circle to the left, look for trail head on your left. Ride accross Light Rail tracks - watch for trains! After riding main flat trail for a while, there are many meandering single track loops off of the main trail. Mainly single track. One rocky section leading up to pine barrens area, good 'rock garden' practice. Interesting 'half-pipe' area. No major aerobic challenges. No real horrible obstacles, some logs, some rocks, mostly hard pack. Not good after lots of rain - drains slow in some sections. Great first ride but still fun even for an intermediate rider. Miles vary depending on the loops you take. It's easy to get back to the main flat trail too.
