  1. News - In June of 2001, this trail system was designated as a National Recreation Trail.
A very thorough website has been established with Maps and Photos. URL: Pigeon Creek Trail System

  2. There are actually 2 seperate trail systems here, PIGEON CREEK and WOLFLEY HOLE, built and maintained by the Twin Lakes Bicycle Club, and currently totaling over 20 miles of trail which is predominately SingleTrack. Both systems are connected by a trail along a very steep side slope that requires portage along a short section of bluff face. Wolfley is very remote and not signed as of yet. Recommend riding with a local here.
PIGEON CREEK system is well marked, and a GPSd/Topo map is available at the LBS in Mtn Home. These trails were built by racers with racing in mind...most sections are fast, yet there are several short tech sections to keep a rider awake. Climbing is kept to a minimum, but a few climbs are long enough to get a 'burn'. Elevation change is approx 200 ft. max.
Several points along the trail offer superb vistas of Lake Norfork. Many large rock formations can be found among the Hardwood and Cedar Glades predominant in the area. In the Spring, flowering Dogwoods add to the beauty of the trail.
These trails are open year-round, and dry quickly after a rain. In the Summer, the park at Pigeon Creek is great for a post-ride dip in the lake.
These 2 trail systems are where the PIGEON ROAST mountain bike race is held each spring. The TLBC has plans to expand the system by 10 miles in the next few years, with more tech sections farther away from the heavily used areas.

Pigeon Creek Park is a 'Day Use Area' and no camping is available. No drinking water or Facilities on site. Nearest Phone is 1 mile north.
