Check out Trail 100 in the Phoenix Mountain Preserves. Your skills should be up to the challenges there. It's pretty close to you, and the traffic (bikes, horses, hikers) is not nearly as heavy as South Mountain. Pick up a copy of Cosmic Ray's Fat Tire Tales and Trails for directions...or srop in at Adventure Bike (NE corner of Alma School and Southern) and they'll tell you where it is. And you might want to check out some of their hardtails while your there! Good suspension forks make life soooo much better.

The section of trail 100 from Dreamy Draw park to Tatum Rd and back would be good.

I'd like to try Papago when it gets cooler.

      Hi
Let's talk more, I heard about that trail from another man I met at papago park. Unfortunately a guy he knew came along so I never got the details. I enjoy adventure & meeting new people. I've had such wonderful times on my bike this summer, I couldn't begin to tell you of my expieriences, Fun-WoW!
Get back to me, thanx, John ;)

Hey there. So, you found some good trails, eh? Been a tough summer for mountain biking with the trail closures up north.
I have another suggestion: McDowell Mountain Regional Park. There are lots of great trails up there. Some rocky stuff, so that rigid front fork will give you a beating. But hey, in the old days, I had a rigid fork, too...and toe clips, even worse!
Any questions about good trails, gear, funny stories, go ahead and e-mail me at j_atilla@yahoo.com. Later!
